Fat accumulation, lipogenesis and glycolysis are key contributors to hepatocyte metabolic reprogramming and the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic liver fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The molecular mechanisms affected by steatosis and inflammation in the obese state remain unknown.
